  • The story

The place is Portugal. A country by the sea planted with incalculable beauty, with an extraordinary people (at least!). It was the twilight of the glorious time of the discoveries in the fifteenth century, when our navigators reached incomparable and unprecedented. At this time, the Portuguese Crown brought precious stones and metals from its overseas provinces. It was then that our ancestors started working gold and silver. This was the awakening of the Philigore.

The dawn of the Filigrana ...

Our history is the universal history of Portuguese Filigran artisans. It begins with a goldsmith of his grace Francis. A tall, sword -sized man with few smiles, but incredibly hardworking. He spent hours and hours in his modest workshop trying to reproduce in Filigrana what he saw around him: nature, love, religion. From his hands came pieces of incredible delicacy and beauty. He was madly in love with his wife, Mary, and was inspired by her to create some of her works. Maria meticulously filled the pieces, thread, while he made the skeleton, and so they spent the best part of the seven days of the week, together - their lives and their work were in perfect harmony.

One day Francisco was hospitalized due to a severe pulmonary complication. Knowing that he had little life, he called Mary and pleaded to her, “Do not let the art die. Tradition must last, ”Maria agreed. The love that united them was so strong that a few months later Maria passed away… but not without first persuading her children to make her the same promise. She fulfilled the promise she had made to Francis at the end of her life. Moreover, he honored the promise he had made at his beginning - the marriage vows. His union surpassed to death and his rings - the most precious fruits of his work - the testimonies of this union.

Francisco and Mary represent the Universal Ancestors of the Filigran. They are how we imagine the TRISOVÓS OF THE FILIGRAN: Revolutionaries, persistent, enigmatic. Although the jewelery has grown stylistically and changed with the times, the imprint of manufacturing persists. The art continues. And will continue.

    VISION

We believe in a world where happiness reigns. Genuine happiness, no filters. Filigran is joy, yes, it's true! They go to the new fairs in Ponte de Lima and will be able to feel the joy of those who dance until dawn bringing to their chest the biggest heart of gold that has closed seven keys in their safe and already belonged to his dear grandmother. That day the heart goes out to the street, vain that only him.

Our greatest mission is to sow this joy in your heart.
